With so many diets on the market today, it is hard to decide which one to choose. This article will discuss some of the different options available by reviewing three diets. All three diets, the Sonoma, the Macrobiotic and the Alli have some things in common and some things that are different. The point is that they all have something unique to offer in the diet community and this article will focus on the pros and the cons of each.

- The Sonoma Diet:

Everyone has heard of the Mediterranean diet, which is essentially a healthy combination of fresh fish and vegetables. What you may not have heard of is the Sonoma Diet, which is simply a version of the Mediterranean diet.

This diet has some great options, for instance, you can eat a Greek Pizza and have a glass of wine or try a Mediterranean chicken salad and more. The point is that you can eat delicious foods without worrying about whether you will regret eating them later. Of course, this is not necessarily an inexpensive way to go, however staying healthy has never been easy on the wallet.

- The Macrobiotic Diet:

This diet is for the hardcore diet enthusiast. It is primarily for the dieter who is seeking a healthy way to eat that integrates physical, spiritual and "planetary" health. Basically, it is a diet that is low in fat, high in fiber and includes a lot of vegetables. It is in fact predominantly a vegetarian diet. Even eggs and dairy are completely avoided. This diet is not for the weak of heart.

- The Alli Diet:

This diet is certainly one to look into if you have an obesity problem. It includes a diet pill, the Alli Diet pill to be exact, which the dieter takes while also focusing on eating healthy foods. This diet also puts an emphasis on exercising.

Alli was the first obesity drug to be approved by the FDA for non-prescription use in the US. The pill works by physically reducing the amount of fat the body retains. In effect, the science behind Alli lies in its control over the amount of fatty acids retained by the body, thus, there is essentially less caloric intake allowing for less exercise for a caloric burn.

- The Three Diets: How to Decide?

Ultimately you will have to make a decision about which type of diet is going to work for you. It really depends on the type of body you have, how much weight you want to lose, and what you are willing to do to lose that weight. As with most of these types of diets, you will be safer starting with the milder of the diet programs out there, and if that doesn't work, try moving to a more aggressive diet plan. Good luck and happy dieting!
